Our new litter of Jack Russell Terrier puppies has arrived, from Harley Quinn and Zeus Vom Anrarot. The puppies are being raised in a family environment, with daily care and individual monitoring from their very first days.
Mother and puppies are doing well. During these weeks, we carefully observe their development, always prioritising the wellbeing of the mother, the healthy growth of the puppies and the time each one needs to begin showing its individual character.
We do not aim to have puppies available throughout the year. Each litter is part of a very limited breeding programme in which we study the parents carefully, monitor the puppies daily and select their future families with great care.
Important: our puppies are not allocated simply in order of enquiry. We assess the development of each puppy and the circumstances of each family to find the most suitable match.

Our approach
How we raise and prepare our Jack Russell Terrier puppies
Vom Anrarot is a family-based Jack Russell Terrier breeder in Galicia, Spain. We plan very occasional litters and dedicate to each one the time, attention and monitoring it deserves.
We do not breed continuously or aim to have puppies available throughout the year.
Each litter is planned carefully, prioritising health, temperament, structure, socialisation and the selection of suitable future families.
Selection of the parents
A litter begins long before the birth. We study the proposed pairing, bloodlines, health, temperament and compatibility of the dogs involved.
We work mainly with Australian-line Jack Russell Terriers, with broken and rough coats, assessing structure, expression, balance, movement and temperament.
Health and genetic testing
We place particular importance on genetic tests associated with the breed, including PLL, LOA and SCA.
These tests form part of a broader assessment that also considers general health, family history, temperament and the overall compatibility of the pairing.
Mother, littermates and the first weeks
The puppies remain with their mother and littermates. This contact is essential for their security, communication skills and early social learning.
We respect their need for rest and avoid exposing them too early to situations they are not yet ready to manage.
Early and gradual socialisation
We gradually introduce human contact, gentle handling, everyday sounds, different surfaces and small age-appropriate challenges.
We do not aim to overstimulate them. The objective is to provide positive experiences while respecting the individual pace of each puppy.

Individual assessment
As the puppies grow, differences begin to emerge in temperament, intensity, sensitivity, confidence and their relationship with people.
This observation helps us avoid choosing solely from a photograph and assess what type of family may be best suited to each puppy.
Preparing for the new home
Conditions for the handover of our puppies
Our puppies leave for their new homes from 10 weeks of age, when we consider them better prepared to begin adapting to a new family.
Handover is not simply a matter of collecting a puppy. We explain to each family how to continue with feeding, sleep, education, adaptation, socialisation and the first routines at home.
We do not send puppies through animal transport companies. Collection takes place in person so that we can meet the family, answer questions and prepare the transition individually.

A decision in both directions
Selecting future families
Not every person is suited to living with a Jack Russell Terrier, and not every puppy is suitable for the same type of home.
We want to understand the family’s lifestyle, available time, previous experience with dogs, the presence of children or other animals and their expectations for the puppy.
We look for homes that understand the breed’s energy, intelligence, need for companionship and the importance of consistent education from the first day.
Responsible breeding also means knowing when to say no. If we believe that a home is not suitable for a Jack Russell Terrier, we prefer to wait. The puppy’s wellbeing comes before any reservation.

After the handover
The puppy’s first days at home
The puppy leaves its mother, littermates and familiar environment. We therefore recommend preparing a sleeping area in advance, keeping the same food, establishing simple routines and allowing a gradual transition.
During the first few days, there is no need to introduce the puppy immediately to everyone or fill its schedule with new experiences. It needs rest, time to bond with its new family and an opportunity to become familiar with its new home.
Our commitment does not end on the day of handover. We remain in contact with families and provide guidance on adaptation, feeding, sleep, education, socialisation and basic care.
Frequently asked questions about our litters
Does Vom Anrarot have puppies available throughout the year?
No. We are a family-based, very limited and selective breeder. We plan only a small number of litters and do not aim to maintain permanent availability.
Are puppies allocated in order of enquiry?
Not exclusively. We assess interested families and monitor the development of each puppy before deciding which combination may be the most suitable.
At what age do the puppies leave?
Our puppies leave from 10 weeks of age, when we consider them better prepared to begin adapting to their new home.
Do you send puppies through animal transport companies?
No. Collection takes place in person so that we can meet the family, explain the puppy’s care and prepare the transition correctly.
Can I choose a puppy from a photograph alone?
This is not recommended. Temperament, bite development, movement, coat type and compatibility with a particular family all require time to assess.
Which genetic tests do you consider?
We pay particular attention to PLL, LOA and SCA, together with a broader assessment of health, temperament, pedigree and the compatibility of the parents.
